Hurricane Church of Christ has a variety of ministries designed to help those in need in the Putnam County and surrounding areas. We encourage you to get involved in one or more of these important ministries.

Clothing Closet

As we serve the community of Hurricane, we are mindful of Christ’s words in Matthew 25:31-46.  It is our desire to help clothe those in our community who are in need.  The Hurricane Church Clothing Closet is open every Sunday morning from 9:30 am to 10:15 am.  Our Clothing Closet is stocked with donated clothes for all ages, infants to senior citizens.  We welcome all clothing donations, but are always in need of children’s clothing.  All donations can be dropped off at our building on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

Food Pantry

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave

me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."

Matthew 25:35

The Hurricane Church strives to meet the needs of our community by providing assistance to those in need through our food pantry program.  We stock our pantry with non-perishable food items, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and dishwashing liquid.  The Food Pantry does not have set hours and a visit can be arranged by appointment.  Anyone in need is welcome to contact us by calling the church office at (304) 562-6491.  If you are interested in helping us serve the community by donating to our Food Pantry, you may drop off donations at our building on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
